With over 15 years of Fortune 500 business development and operations experience, an MBA in Finance and extensive studies in leadership strategy and people management, Jessica Matthews offers a dynamic skill set and diverse knowledge base. Jessica has an unwavering passion for aviation, supply chain and global trade. As Founder and President of soFLY Southern Tropics, Jessica has led the success of the local chapter and shared mission of Women in Aviation International.
During her 10-year tenure at UPS, the world’s largest logistics company, she worked on many of the company’s critical projects including technology enhancements, supply chain optimization, new product development and international expansion. With her ability to effectively manage projects, lead cross-departmental teams, validate ROI and foster continuous improvement, she successfully exceeded corporate goals resulting in global sales recognition.
In recent years, she has built an aviation logistics company and also contributed to the industry segment strategy of a $3B global freight forwarding company with a focus on aviation. Her previous career afforded her the opportunity to lead a global e-commerce and retail start-up company as Chief Operating Officer and she delivered record results for her investors and strategic acquisition. Her background reflects progressive sales, operations and marketing advancements while maintaining effective and meaningful relationships with all stakeholders. Currently Jessica is head of Business Development for EirTrade Aviation, an Acorn Growth Company. EirTrade Aviation is a global technical asset services and trading company working with industry leading airlines, MRO and leasing companies worldwide.
